Welcome back and it’s time for an update!
Here we go into the end of week two and it honestly flew by… already the end of week 2 and halfway through. I think I’m getting the hang of it. I’ve had a chance to write another wide variety of spots over the week. From Plumbers to volunteer dinners. I’ve even had a chance to voice a line or two as well.
Kayla has been going over some of the additional task that the writers do, ways to keep those spots running as intended and explaining the sometimes precarious position caught between Sales and Production.
I got my first request as well, having one of the sales reps asking for me specifically to write spots for a client. Pretty cool feeling. I’m getting a chance to write things that have me confident to put them on demos in the near future (Anyone need a freelance writer? I’m for hire!).
I’ve also learned the sometimes… mercurial nature of clients and accepting that sometimes the best writing is going to be sliced up and modified… it’s ok, my supervisor thinks my writings cool.
